Pre-Clean and Deep Clean
Before we can even begin to perform a weekly, bi-weekly or tri-weekly maintenance cleaning on a home, there are usually a variety of 'first-time' tasks which require extra attentnion on our first visit.
Our first cleaning visit is either a 'pre-cleaning' or a 'deep-cleaning'.
Pre-cleans are for homes that need a little extra cleaning before regular cleaning service begins. Deep cleans are for homes that need a LOT more cleaning before a regular cleaning schedule can be established.
It's not uncommon for our teams to spend from two to eight times longer on a first-time cleaning than it takes for us on regular, repeat maintenance visits. While the situation in every home is unique and different, following are some examples of what we mean...
The Kitchen:
Kitchen cabinets, counter tops and large and small appliances often require extra attention on our first visit. It doesn't take long for kitchen dust to become impregnated with grease - making it much more difficult to clean than a week's accumulation of ordinary surface dust. Our first pre-clean or deep clean allows us to spend the time needed to remove this greasy buildup from the outside of all large and small appliances, walls, cabinets, tiles, baseboards, backsplashes and light fixtures, making them easy to maintain on a regular basis.
The Bathroom:
It is not unusual for us to spend as much time cleaning one bathroom on our first visit as it takes to clean an entire home on subsequent visits. For example, if we don't spend the extra time and effort usually needed to eradicate mineral buildup, dirt and soap scum from shower doors, walls, tiles, countertops, bathtub faces, plumbing fixtures and porcelain surfaces - objects will never look clean no matter how often we visit. Whether it is mineral rings, hard water stains in the commode, or moldy grout, we do our best to bring all bathroom surfaces as close to clean as we can get them.
All Rooms:
Cobwebs on walls, light fixtures and ceilings; fingerprints on artwork, wall switches and walls; splashes and drips on walls and mirrors; dust and dirt under furniture and beds; dirty keyboards and telephones; dry wooden furniture; sticky rings or adhesive marks; dirt, mud, dust, grease and stains; pet hair imbedded in upholstery and carpets - any area that has been neglected for a long periods of time may require extra initial TLC with our state of the art equipment and non-toxic cleaners.
Whether your home just needs a pre-clean to get it up to our standard, or whether it needs a deep-clean to really tackle problem areas, our initial, in-depth care and attention is essential to our being able to maintain a high standard of cleanliness for your home on a regular basis.
